About the author

If I had to describe my path in one word, I would choose “foundation.” It is not only about the construction I started with in my native Ostr, but also about finding a solid foundation in everything, from state mechanisms to spiritual values. Today, my activity is a synthesis of entrepreneurial experience, deep scientific research, and service to society.

Between the theory and practice of public administration

Today, I have the honor of being an associate professor of the Department of Public Administration at the Kyiv University of Aviation and Information Technologies (KUAIT). As a candidate of science in public administration, I do not just teach — I seek answers to the complex challenges of our time. My research continues in doctoral studies at the Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University, where I work on mechanisms of public policy that should bring the Church and civil society closer together.

For my significant contributions to strengthening social dialogue and developing legal culture, I was awarded a certificate from the National Mediation and Conciliation Service and several other state awards.

A circle of like-minded people, scientific work and spiritual continuity

My path to great science would not have been possible without the people who became my intellectual guides. I am sincerely grateful to Yevhen Romanenko, whose support served as the very “push” that directed my practical experience toward academic research. It was through our cooperation that my development in the field of social construction began – a direction in which architecture meets society’s needs.

Today, my scientific research has gained a new scale thanks to Rimvidas Khrashchevskyi. His trust allowed me to join the team of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Social Sciences at KUAIT. Here, at the institute, I have the opportunity to engage in a strategically important direction for the state: research into the investment attractiveness of the rare-earth resources sector.

This is not just geology or economics. Rare earth metals are the “fuel” for innovation, critically important for modern aviation and high technology. My goal as a researcher is to identify mechanisms to attract investment in this sector, ensuring technological independence and the development of Ukraine’s aviation industry.

Under the professional scientific guidance of Ivan Drahan, Doctor of Science in Public Administration and Professor at the Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University, I am working on my doctoral dissertation in public administration on the topic “Mechanisms for Implementing State Policy for the Development of Communication between the Christian Church and Civil Society in Ukraine.” His deep understanding of state processes helps me build a complex architecture of interaction between spiritual institutions and modern society.

Together with my colleague and like-minded person, Doctor of Public Administration and Doctor of Theology Denys Martyshyn, we have been working at the intersection of theology and public administration for many years. Our collaboration has resulted in several joint articles and books in which we explore the role of Christian ethics in shaping the modern political space. We are convinced that without a solid spiritual foundation, it is impossible to build an effective system of public management.

One of the most important stages of my scientific and publishing activities was the work on the book “Ukrainian Orthodoxy in the Philosophy of Public Administration”. We managed to complete and publish this study during the lifetime of His Holiness Patriarch Filaret (Denysenko), dedicating it to the 95th anniversary of the figure who became a symbol of an entire era. This work attempts to comprehend the spiritual foundation of our statehood through the prism of his value ideas.

Today, when the earthly path of the Patriarch has ended, we see in this a special providence. He will go down in history as a great builder of the Ukrainian Church, whose mission continues in eternity. I am convinced that our common sorrow should be transformed into a strong spiritual and prayerful unity, because it was the idea of unity around the truth that was the core of his life. His patriotic ideas remain the driving force for further state-building transformations.

In January 2024, I had the honor of meeting His Holiness the Patriarch in person at his residence. During this spiritual communication, I was awarded the Blessed Diploma for my work in developing Ukrainian science and church book publishing. This award is evidence that the path of combining faith, science, and state-building is correct and necessary for modern Ukraine.

From business and investment to service and volunteering

My professional path is a decade of international experience. As a specialist in attracting foreign investment, I help find resources for the reconstruction of social housing and construction. It is a job where numbers and strategies turn into real walls for those in need.

My life is inseparable from volunteering and Christian values. For my sacrificial service to preserve God’s gift of freedom and independence, I received the Cross of Freedom medal, as well as the Order of St. Archangel Michael, 2nd degree, from His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kyiv and All Ukraine.

As the head of the Ukrainian Foundation for International Youth Cooperation “Leader”, I focus my efforts on supporting education and innovation. This is combined with my professional activities as a specialist in attracting foreign investment in the reconstruction of social housing. After all, we must rebuild the country not only physically, but also spiritually.

History researcher and “book hunter”

My intellect is nourished by history. I am fascinated by the history of law and international relations during the Ukrainian People’s Republic (1917–1921), as well as the history of Britain, the Celts, and Northern Europe. As a historian by training, I collect not only knowledge but also material evidence of the past, such as coins, paintings, and rare editions.

Being a “book hunter” and a fan of Dante Alighieri is my way of staying in dialogue with eternity. Every step I take—whether in a university classroom or on a hike through historical sites—is a search for truth.
